Girly, Girly Birthday party

I was asked to make special treats for a young girls birthday party in July.  She wanted a very girly party so I showed her many different examples and this pattern is what she wanted.  I decided to make a trio of treats with this pattern.  The center piece was a cake pop display and I feel in love with it once it was done and will now make these pieces for cake pops from now on until I find a new, fun display.  I also made brownie bits some with cream cheese frosting and some without.   I also planned on making sugar cookies but a family emergency came our way so I gave the decor for the cookies to the mother who made the cookies.

Brownie Bits

Many people love my brownie bits and they think I have a big secret on how I make great bits.  NO secret I use box mix but just make sure not to over bake them.  Many people have that problem with brownies and they get dry hard bits.  I bake my bits a couple minutes shy of that the instructions call for on the box.    I do make my frosting and many times add different flavors for different settings.  Here you see the pink on top of the frosting.  I used Mr. Duff's product which was like a spray paint for cakes.  It was a cool look to these bits.

Things needed to make a center piece like this:
A base
A foam ball  (something they use for flower arrangements)
One piece of tissue paper
metal rods (also found in the flower arrangement section)
Mini cake wrappers
cake pop sticks
Glue gun and glue

1.  Cover ball with tissue paper and place into base.
2.  Poke holes with an unused cake pop stick into the ball.  Make as many hole as you plan to add cake pops.  I found it was hard to make the holes with the cake pop already on the stick.
3.  Make the wrapper flowers.  Cut the metal rods into the length you want then to be.  Heat up glue gun.  With the metal rod poke a small hole into the middle of the bottom of the wrapper.  Bend the end of the metal just a little in order to hold it inside the wrapper.  Place a little drop of hot glue to the inside of the wrapper.  Once cooled crumple the wrapper to make into a flower.  Stick into the foam ball.
4.  Make cake pops and add a wrapper, finish by sicking it into the center piece.
